The three project Task Forces will be made up of individuals with expertise in homelessness, including service providers, people with lived experience, and government staff who work in and around homelessness efforts including related systems (e.g., mental health, legal services, education). The Task Forces will leverage their combined expertise, experience, compassion, data, and research. Their goal is to develop recommendations for a more unified regional response to homelessness across Pierce County, based on the scope and issues identified by the Elected Leadership Group.
Task Force members whose expertise is most needed, those with lived expertise and the those providing services, will be compensated for their time.
Focus on problem-solving
Utilize experience & expertise, engage with data and research provided by project consultants.
Develop proposed options based on the scope/problems to solve set by the Elected Leadership Group.
Iterate chosen options based on feedback from other project work groups.
